Over the weekend of 7th – 8th September there was some fire damage on the Memorial park and the Rocker elephant was vandalised. The damage has now been rectified but at a cost in excess of £700 to the Town Council.

This was part of two weekends of vandalism at the park which saw the skate board ramp also being damaged and fires lit at the skate park and junior football pitch as well as damage to the Stonebridge Allotment site.
