Simon Toon, member of Coleshill Remembers and a former Royal Naval Officer, is leading a series of vigils to commemorate the centenary of the deaths of all Coleshill’s WWI casualties. During the vigils Simon outlines each man’s connection with Coleshill, family life, military service and the circumstances of his death. A period of silent reflection follows and then a half-muffled bell is rung 100 times.
The next vigil will take place at 8 pm on Thursday 30 July at Coleshill Parish Memorial to commemorate the life of Frederick Richard Stanley
